I want to have 10-15 rituals... do I have to "buy them" with my starting GP? Or am I allowed to have a few for free (like, one-two every level)? |

It doesn't matter if you're copying the ritual from another ritual book or buying it from someone, you pay that price in either the materials needed to scribe the ritual or for the book. So, yeah, I'd say that you have to pay for rituals. I'm not sure if I'd charge this, though - high-level characters are already shorted money compared to having leveled naturally, IMO, so I'd just let the rituals in for free. |

At level 11 you'd have three 1st level rituals, two rituals of 5th level or lower, and two rituals of 11th level or lower via this feature. Those would be free. Any beyond that would have to be purchased. However, it's not unreasonable to ask the other characters to split the cost for any rituals that are intended for the benefit of the group. |
