Okay. Now you all must be thinking, really..a god character? But keep in mind, my group plays as a bunch of different characters with vastly different ECL's. Our characters are put in any of these catagories. 1st-20th (Average) 21st-30th (Low Epic) 31st-50th (Mid Epic) 51st-60th (High Epic) 61st-70th (Low Cosmic) 71st-80th (Mid Cosmic) 81st-100th+ (High Cosmic). Anyways, here is the problem. I have a deity, who has a court of weaker deities at his command, he created an entire realm just for his divine kingdom. He constantly holds tournements for unique, interesting or powerful opponents of ANY ecl. As the Emperor of the realm, he has control over most things in the realm, until he is defeated in combat. He is hounorable for the most part, benevolent to his deific cohorts and player cohorts/minions, unless they give him reasons not to. Before he asks a being to join his forces, he explains to them, that by doing so will grant them great power, more so then they have. However, they must follow specfic set of rules. They where ALL explained to another player & their god character. Now he is complaining on how I am forcing his character to do practically non-lethal combat, and other very minor things, in a realm based primarly on War,Combat,Tactics,Skill & Contests. I told him, what his obvious options were. One being is challenging my god character with his and win. He said many times to me he wanted to kill my character anyway, even before he joind my deific court. So what's his problem? He recently gained enough power to challenge me, so why not? Can anyone please tell me on what they think with some reasonable feedback and not just state anything about high ecl. -.-?

I have no idea what your question is.

1. He's a Jerk

2. You're a Jerk

3. His character is a Jerk

4. Your character is a Jerk

Those are the options for what his problem is.

Remember that if he challenges you, he should lose all the benefits he gained from joining you before the fight, as God giveth, so God taketh away.

Is his anger justified? probably not. Its a game, and generally getting angry isn't ever justified.

Have a quick conversation, and remind him of this. "Its a game, I'm not trying to win, I'm just trying to do something fun." Then be flexible if he asks you to change some stuff.
