Difference between Ranger and Prestige Ranger?

Well, i was reading about prestige classes, and came upon Prestige Ranger. Now, I read it over a few times, and I have no idea what the difference between that and the normal ranger is.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Dec 20, 2008 16:46:31 		Back in the 3.5 Unearthed Arcana, they had a rules variat where certain core classes (such as Paaldins and rangers) were prestige classes instead. I would assume that 'Prestige Ranger' is the ranger version of that.

That's correct--it's just a variant with some changes. These classes are removed from the core and into the prestige class range. These are just variant rule--which is what Unearth Arcana is all about.;)
