#2 Mad_Jack Jul 27, 2013 19:27:17	Divine Challenge and Divine Sanction are two completely different things, and they don't interact with one another in any way.  Divine Challenge is a class feature for the paladin. It is applied by the character whenever they choose to take the minor action to do so.  Divine Sanction is not a paladin class feature - it is automatically applied as part of any power that says it applies DS. It requires no action outside that of using the power. If you are not a paladin or do not have the Divine Challenge class feature, you can still apply Divine Sanction by using a power that tells you to apply it.  You can not do both to the same creature - each one marks the target, and you can only have one mark on a target at a time. Placing the other on the target would overwrite the first one and cancel it. DC and DS are meant to be used on different targets, so that the paladin can be a better defender.  Draconic Challenge applies Sanction to the targets of your dragonbreath power. It does not apply your Challenge.
