Does a Druid's wolf grow in size with extra HD

May 11, 2008 17:36:16 A wolf gets 2 extra HD from being a druid's animal at the right level and its total HD is 4 does it become large size since in the MM it says under advancement 4-6= large?

May 11, 2008 23:40:58 Riding dogs are the same size as wolves, though (Medium). You have to wait until at least 4th level as a druid to get a large mount that isn't a horse, IIRC. May or may not be worth it, but I personally like the Dire Bat for a mount.

May 14, 2008 13:33:46 Not by DEFAULT, but you can ask your DM about it. A larger size affects the creatures power though, so be willing to make a sacrifice for it.

(And dont complain, Druids in 3.5 are never EVER allow to complain.)

Or get a Dire Wolf animal companion instead.

May 14, 2008 17:44:28 There are Dire Wolves, and then you can see what your DM will allow. If all else fails, just say your Tyrannosaurus is a wolf with identical stats.
