My Warden was to holding his turn so that the avenger could isolate a Naga away from the rest of the group, because the DM had put both right next to the party and we were dying pretty quickly. The Aura states that if you start your turn in the aura you are dazed. The DM said that because i held my turn and that was in the aura before the avenger isolated it five squares away that i was still dazed Basic meaning Initiative NEW Initiative Was i to be affected by the Naga's Daze? |

At the start of your turn you're subject to the Aura's effect. Of course you can't Delay while Dazed, which means you're pretty screwed. It should go... Warden - Take a minor, move or standard action (due to dazing) Naga - Eat Warden (I'm assuming its marked). Avenger - Somehow moves Naga 5 sqaures away. Warden - Now free to act!! Delay all you like, but its really not neccessary. The rules are written precisely to stop people from delaying their action in order to extend durations or shorten enemy durations. You don't delay until the start of your turn, which means things that happen at the start of your turn still happen (and things that end at the end of your turn also still happen). |
