However, I'm confused about how many healing surges a day he gets - Pg 34 of PH under Dragonborn states under Draconic Heritage that the healing surge value is = to 1/4 of your maximum hp + Constitution Modifer. Pg 60 of PH under Cleric states that the # of Healing Surges per Day is 7 + Constitution Modifier. At 1st level, I have 12+Constitution Modifer (in this case +2) for a total of 14HP. 14/4 = 3.5 round down to 3. add +2 modifier and if I go with pg 34 I get a total of 5 healing surges per day. If I go with page 60 I get 9 healing surges per day. What do I do? Go with page 60 until the Draconic Heritage gives me more healing surges than 9? ![]() Walt3rd |

So, if your con is a +2 bonus, your Healing Surges would look like this- 9 Healing Surges Per Day Healing Surge Value = 1/4th your HP +2 (so, if you have a score of 14, you'd have 26 HP. Your normal Healing Surge value would be worth 6.5 (rounded down 6) However, being a Dragon Born, your value would be 8 (6 (1/4th of 26) + 2 (your con modifier)) Hope that clears things up. |
