| #1furstenburgMar 28, 2013 12:07:20 | Hi all, I'm fairly new to 4th ed and am torn between two different characters, so thought I'd ask help from the community to decide. The party at the minute consists of: Dwarf Fighter/Dragonborn Paladin (Me) Human Rogue Human Wizard (MC Warlock) Human Warlock Dragonborn Warlord Which character do people think will fit best into this party? Im leaning towards the Paladin as we have to think of ties to other PCs and being a forgotten realms campaign Dragonborn come from a relatively small area. However I'm a self confessed dwarf lover.... I suppose mainly I'm trying to think which defender class would be best suited to this group. I've only played one small game of 4e as a rogue so don't know how the defender classes will work out. |

Really though, just imagine which tropes you'll have more fun playing - the hard-drinking, hard-livin' dwarf tough guy who dislikes elves for reasons. Or the gecko-eyed, limbic-brained reptilian dragonborn with bizarre genitalia. That's where I find my fun. The mechanics will be fine either way with that group. |

(Now you have somebody who can read and speak dwarf). *You want to be 100% unmoveable tank. (Do you expect push, pull, slides often?) *You want a relatively less complex turn. (Swing at your enemy, it is marked.) Dragonborn Paladin if You can get your wizard and warlock to specialize in radiant attacks. (You can pick up radiant mafia feats/powers). You get Power of Skill so that the Warlord will give you MBAs almost exclusively. However, most important is, which character would you most likely be most excited about role-playing and less likely to get bored with? |

Virtuous Strike says:"Hi!" Pick either class. Fighter is arguable better class and easier to play. Paladin takes a little more effort to do well, and please read up on Divine Challenge and Divine Sanction. |
