| #1oni_baku_06Feb 06, 2011 6:02:29 | Hey everyone, I'm hoping someon can help me out with this. We all know that the next season of encounters is starting Wednsday, and I finally have the oppurtunity to play. But I'm a bit lost when it comes to essentials. Also, its been posted that the CB will have the new encounters season in it, but I'm not seeing anything yet. So, I just made a couple of characters using the Keep on the Borderlands set, and had another dilema...do we buy all of our equipment with the starting 100 gold, or can we add what options are available in the CB. It gives the option for magical weapons, armor and items. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Well, the only Magic Items you will be able to afford with that 100 gold are Consumables, and you will only be able to afford two at most if you eschew all other equipment, so knock yourself out. ;) At level 1, you don't start with any gear you don't buy with your starting gold (exception: Mages should start with a Spellbook). It is my understanding that there are 10-12 parcels of magical treasure to be found during March of the Phantom Brigade. The DM should be distributing that treasure so that each player has two magical items by the end of the module. |
