Finding a group?

Jul 13, 2009 15:42:27 Not sure if this is entirely the best forum for this question, however, I'm not sure how much attention it would get in the 'find players in your area' forum since that doesn't get as much traffic.

Can anyone recommend decent sites for finding a gaming group? Having a not so easy time finding a regular group and have tried the forums here, enworld and also meetup without much luck so far.

Jul 13, 2009 16:42:11 I've never used it to locate a gaming group, but I hear that enworld.org is a reasonably good spot if you are willing to hunt a lot (even in spite of your lack of luck).

Of course, my personal favorite remains mydndgame.com.

Jul 14, 2009 0:13:11 You could try your FLGS. Many will have a board where you can post a player seeking group notice. Or you could ask the owner if there are any groups that play there that are looking for an extra player.

Jul 15, 2009 18:11:12 My current group I found by placing an ad on Craigslist and offering to DM. (which allowed me to add on that proper hygiene was a must) And one of my players just splintered off with an Eberron game he is DMing, so I get to play too.
