Help archer ranger fight a Lich

There are arrows that deal bludgeoning damage in... Races of the Wild, or Complete Warrior. Not too sure about the exact book.

Could someone help here? It's not in Complete Warrior.

The cheapest is probably a +1 sling for 2300g.

You can get a +1 Undead Bane bow and keep it unstrung in your Quiver of Ehlonna for use against any undead you encounter. Against them it will count as +3 and do 2D6 extra damage, which is enough to make up for most of a Lich's damage reduction.

If you really want to go nuts or if Lichs are the main antagonist of your campaign, an Undead Bane, Flaming, Holy Sling +5 will give you an extra 7+5D6 damage and leave you bankrupt.

May 27, 2008 0:28:52 Blunt arrows won't help you. They deal nonlethal damage, which liches are immune to.

Remember, though, that shooting him while he's casting forces a pretty nasty concentration check, which can be the difference between a victory and sucking on a Cloudkill.

Being wizard based with no Con score, liches are easy meat for (greater) undead slaying arrows

May 30, 2008 11:54:29 Bane (Undead) arrows fired from a Holy bow. Some DMs would allow that, while 50 Bane (Undead) arrows should cost 8001gp, 10 would only cost you 801gp. Based on your rate of fire, get 4 or 5 rounds' worth.
