Help finding a great Prestige Rogue Class

Jul 13, 2009 0:07:50 Okay. First off I play 3.5. Finding one from 3rd edition is okay. DM also allows 2nd edition transferring to 3.5 rules.

Basically i've been searching high and low for a prestige class that is essentially a super rogue. What i mean by this is its a rogue in regards to all those nifty skill points per level, sneak attack, and other typical sneaky debauchery tricks.

I play a halfling rogue so i'm a sneak, liar, cheat, thief, silvertongued bastard. My problem is that many prestige classes that are good for rogues really only focus on one or two things a rogue is good at. Examples. Assassins kill, Dungeoneers, well, dungeoneer, Spymasters spy.

So for what i need from you guys is a list of prestige classes you recommend that sort of exemplify a rogue but in a more Prestigey way.

The only requirements is that the class has sneak attack or increases a lvls in my previous rogue class.

Thanks a WHOLE lot in advance, even if you don't know what the book is from could you please tell me the name of the class so i can look it up? Or vice versa, tell me the book if you dont know the name of the class.

Jul 13, 2009 4:58:17 I think the prestige class your looking for is the Rouge from the Players Handbook. No seriously. If you want something that has the same skills as a rouge and the same Sneak Attack as a rouge then you want to level in rouge. I don't know why everyone need to take a prestige. Prestige means you do something different to other rouges so they will be differant to the class (less skills or no sneak attack).

If you must Prestige then I recommend the Mountebank, Complete Scoundrel. It has a steady sneak attack, average BAB, and telaportation, not to mention all your deceving goodies. If your unhappy with this, Seriously, go rouge.

I was sort of thinking the same thing as well.

I decided what i would do though to supplement my abilities is take a level in Assassin then probably go back to leveling in rogue.

Also my DM is pretty cool i may be able to convince him to let me increase my skill points per level in exchange for losing poison proficiency (no chance to poison self and increased poison resist)

Seriously, have a cookie.

Jul 13, 2009 15:40:18 I would go for the Ninja of the Crescent Moon prestige class. Full BAB, Full sneak attack, and monk saves, plus some very nifty sneaking, hiding, and enchanting effects.
