| #1mitchellsd20Jul 12, 2012 10:38:59 | Ok I feel like a newb asking this question but never have encountered this before, I am currently playing 3.5 D&D and to create my character I have been using nzcomputers heroforge, great program. However this is my problem, I want to create a dragonborn cleric of bahumut, once I had plugged in all the numbers to the program and it generated my charactersheet it said that I had a 0 for my speedx4. What does this mean? is that even possible? does that mean I cant move or what? Any help would be appreciated and I figured this would be the best place to seek guidence. |

You could then possibly take the slow flaw -5ft giving you a move speed of 5ft. Thats about as low as I can get off the top of my head. Can you post your exact character build, items, and such. Everything you can think of about it. Its probably possible to do. |

| #4mitchellsd20Jul 14, 2012 10:59:30 | I have looked over everything I am not over encumbered, I am only carrying weapons and armor currently I have not been able to figure out the problem I think it is a glitch. I did, instead of making a cleric I made a fighter and I was able to take dragon wings and tail slap as feats so that makes up for the movement, I think I am just going to see how it plays out, so if it is a glitch my base land speed should be 30 ft correct? any help would be appreciated, thanks for the post guys keep em coming. |
| #5Mad_JackJul 15, 2012 0:15:47 | Was the program listing your correct speed for the basic speed but listing "speed x 4" as zero? That's definitely a glitch. Unless your character has a ridiculously low strength score, there's no way that just carrying their armor and weapons would overload them to the point of immobility. Even when using an officially-licensed character generator for a game, never treat it as a rules source - the books trump the program at all times. Any time you use a character creation program, always go back and check the math yourself... It's notoriously difficult to find a chargen program for any rpg that won't screw up the math occasionally - the programs are written by programmers who may or may not actually play the games in question let alone have complete mastery of the rules. Almost all of the Medium-sized humanoid player character races in 3.5 have a speed of 30 ft. The most common thing that reduces speed is wearing heavy armor - which reduces your speed regardless of whether or not you have the carrying capacity to wear it without being encumbered. |

I only have a str score of an 11 I am a fighter and am wearing hide armor for right now we are starting the game off from lvl 1 and not using the starting packages. Thats how I know it must be a glitch of some sort, so there for my dragon born fighter should have a base land speed of 30 ft correct? And yes it was listing my speed as this. (base land speed 0/x4) I have dmed many a campaign and never have seen this madness. I do appreciate the help thanks man, any other advice would be appreciated, I check this forum once a day because there is always usefull information in here. Sorry lied about str score it is actually a 16. |

| #8robertread3Jul 24, 2012 14:17:36 | it would be awsome to have a character with 0 speed "CARRY ME SERVENTS" |
