Just started to make a hybrid paladin.  Is there NO way to give this character lay on hands??

Seems pretty lame that a hybrid Pally loses this power.

Am I missing something?

Doesn't look like you're missing anything.  Compendium doesn't list it as an option for Hybrid Talent.

Paladins are primarily defenders, with a secondary role as leader.

Lay on hands is a leadership role ability that I guess the designers though suitable to drop for the hybrid, which gets precious little to play with for class features.

If you want a similar ability, the second half of the hybrid might be a Leader, or you could still multi-class Cleric and gain a little healing power alongside.

Otherwise, your DM might allow you access to Lay On Hands, perhaps a slightly cut-down version, as a house ruled Hybrid Talent.

Or you can get some Heal skill powers too.

No, there is not. LoH is ONLY available to pure paladians.

Take the ritual casting feat and pick up Comrade's Succor, first level ritual. Your entire party can now swap surges (at the cost of one extra surge from someone). Better than lay on hands for the most part, although you can't use it in that "aaahhh emergency healing needed!" encounter.... Buy hey you can't have everything!
