Hey there,

I know weapon finesse (dex), and insightful strike (wis), but is there a feature that makes you able to use your intelligence modifier on melee attack rolls, in stead of strength?

Thanks in advance,

Hans

I don't know, what system are you playing? I'm a 3.5 hold out so I don't know much of the 4e ways (they're scary, lol). In 3.5 I would say no, but in my game I have a feat that allows Int. bonus to go to the attack of point and click weapons (C bows, guns, ect.) instead of dexterity. It really boosted the wizard class.

In D&D, you can spend a feat on Melee Training (STAT) to use STAT instead of Strength to hit and STAT/2 instead of Strength to damage with melee basic attacks.  This is, simply, to allow anyone who wants a good ability to smack people to get it by just spending a Feat and being done with it.

D20 has no equivalent that I'm aware of.  D20 characters are much less customisable.

At the same time, you can probably convince your DM to let you back-port the Feat from D&D.  It's really not abusable on the scale of anything else any INT-based character could be doing in D20, so there's no reason to refuse it.

(PS:  D20's actually got it's own section of the forums.  Most of the D20 players hang out there, rather than here - if you ask the same question there, you're likely to get a better answer, and if there WAS a version of the Feat printed somewhere in some book, or an OGL product, someone might be able to direct you towards it.)

... like it needed boosting.

Be fair, man.  A second level Wizard who can use a Crossbow effectively actually has *something he can do* for all the times that aren't his twice-a-day-no-more Sleep spell.

Of course, it's D20, so he can't *retrain* that Feat once he's gotten his plethora of "I Win" button spells later.

Actually, they introduced retraining in the PHB2 in 3e.  To be fair. ;)

I remember there was a feat that let Monks get their AC and attack rolls from int, but I can't remember what it was called or where I found it anymore...

Kung Fu Genius. It was a Dragon feat, compiled in the Dragon Compendium, not an official one.

For 3.x I believe there is a feat in complete arcane that lets you use int instead of str for attack rolls (but not damage), though I can't think of the name.
I think there are feats for every stat but con.
