Intimidate and Demoralize with "Never Outnumbered" Skill Trick

I have 8 ranks in Intimidate, and I'm wondering if the Skill Trick from Complete Scoundred: Never Outnumbered is a waste.

Never Outnumbered [Interaction]: When you use Intimidate to demoralize and opponent (PHB 76), you can affect all enemies within 10 feet that can see you.

I'd like this, but I can't use it to Intimidate multiple subjects outside of combat (as written only when you are demoralizing) and it takes a Standard Action. So instead of demoralizing a few creatures I could be bashing heads.

Is this skill trick worth it or not? I'm a 5th level TWF rogue with a 10 total in Intimidate, and in an undead campaign.

Ok if it's an undead campaign probably not worth it. But as far as the "could be bashing heads", if you're high in the initiative order your first turn could make it harder for your opponents to bash your party's heads.

So no, but maybe? :D

Why/how does the undead campaign make it a bad idea?

And I'm not taking improved init, so I might be high on the initiative occasionally (dex) but not consistently.

Thanks!

Undead don't do fear, trying to intimidate them is pointless. If the PCs themselves are undead, however, it might be useful. Maybe take the line of feats up to Eviscerator in addition to Never Outnumbered and maybe some support from an ally with fear-inducing spells and play up stacked fear effects for wholesale panic.
