| #2brassbaboonFeb 21, 2010 23:39:23 | I'm assuming that what you are really asking is "is there a way to force a foe to lose their dex bonuses at range" since I think what you really are wanting is to gain sneak attack advantage. If you have a level of sorcerer you can use the spell "distract assailant" within 25' which is OK since you have to be within 30' to gain sneak attack anyway. I'm sure there are other spells which can be cast which remove dex bonuses, but it's late and I don't want to dig through my books. There may be some feats that could help too, I seem to recall one that allows you to treat any foe who has not yet moved in the initiative round as surprised, but maybe that's in 4e... There are so many splat books out there for 3.5e I'm sure someone can come up with better options. I've always liked "distract assailant" though, because if you can do multiple attacks, they all gain sneak attack damage. |
| #3fmu78Mar 02, 2010 23:55:32 | Only way I can think of is to get a class ability granted by the Whisperknife prestige class. Of course you would need to be a halfling. It is in Races of the Wild I believe. The ability is called Ranged Flank if I am remembering correctly. |
