so.
I am new to these forums. I'm relatively inexperienced at any DnD games, having played only a few campaigns. And because games are so hard to come by where I live, I was wondering whether I should join a Play-by-Post game?
Any opinions at all would be appreciated. Thanks!

Play-by-post games have a very different feel than live games. When done properly they involve highly detailed, in-depth storytelling and lots of well thought-out roleplaying. However, they move a lot slower than live games, involve far less combat, require much more initiative from the players, and often fizzle away due to lack of committment.

If you want to write a story as a group, then play-by-post is for you. If you want to have fun with a group of friends, then stick with live games.

Real Adventures is located on these boards and we have a few games recruiting right now. Both 4e and 3.5e

Now that I have that advertising done.... :D

Some people like the PbP some people don't. I would suggest reading some of the games there and see if you might like the style of play. Read along for a while as you see people posting. It should give you a pretty good idea about whether you would like it or not.
