3.5e

Im helping someone roll up a kobold and they want to be large sized. It needs to be permanent.

Can it be done?

Its a lvl 15 character and i think he has a few class lvls he can spare. As well has alot of money to pay spellcasters.

- since he has lots of money for casting, PAO might be an option
- 1/2 minotaur template will increase by one size catagory

Enlarge Person with the Permanency metamagic effect on it?
Not sure if kobolds can be affected by it though...

Well, why don't you start by simply ask the DM about being a large sized kobold?

Describe the character, tell them what you're hoping to achieve/play, why, & see what they say.  Could turn out that you don't have to justify it "with rules" at all....

Thats true. Could say they got some ogre or dragon blood somehwere, or is just plain a mutation (like dwarfism in real life is). Im sure a common sense dm would be ok with it.

I doubt the DM would allow it withought rules backing it up. He hates Kobolds and usually we roll them up as passive revenge from a particularly poorly balanced and thought out encounter that results in a full team wipe.

Odd. I had a kobold in 2ed that worked well (kobold witch doctor, later on in 3.5 I had a half red dragon kobold sorcerer).  Wasn't revenge.. How could they be revenge?

Well then he doesn't hate them enough.....  Proof?  He still allows you to play them.

Me?  If I hated kobolds & you presented me with a kobold PC as a form of "revenge"?  Regardless of what rules you waived at me I'd simply say No & you could go make yet another character.

Not really revenge in the typical sense. Its better compared to sticking your tongue out at someone.

Just have him play a group of twelve kobolds who combine and power up into a giant kobold form made of kobolds.

Kobold swarms are probably large size, play one of those.
