| #1vsteelSep 14, 2009 23:56:44 | I'm in a bind. (Note This is 3.5 Edition) We fought a dragon the other night, and my legion of sentinels (Beguiler) got a bunch of opportunity attacks against a dragon. The DM ruled that since they were slashing damage, they couldn't get through it's DR. This is terrible for me, since nearly all of the enemies we will be fighting from now on have DR/Magic.
However, it's a spell, and I believe it is treated as a magic weapon. Does anyone have a reference to a page # talking about how spells interact with DR? (Specifically spells that make weapon attacks). Note: DM won't be convinced till he sees it written in one of the books.
If I'm wrong I'm sure you won't be afraid to tell me. |

That said, they do at least 1d6 damage right? So depending on the Dragon they should have had at least a chance to deal damage (one point on a normal attack against DR5, and a couple on a max crit if it has DR10). |

The wording of that rule isn't the best though . . . so clear it with your DM before investing in higher level spells.
