#1 A_vulture Oct 13, 2013 22:10:25	My friend and I are complete noobs to D&D, and really want to have some fun playing. I have read some of the PHB and understand some things about the game, and as well have watched a series on youtube of a group playing. We would really like to play using skype to talk within the group and use a third party like roll20 or anything like that for rolls and anything else needed like maps. We talked about finding someone new to DMing so they can Learn to DM while they teach us to play, but an experienced DM willing to help a couple noobs out would obviously be just as good.    To say a few things in advance. We are jokers, we make crude but funny jokes at each other since we have known eachother forever. So expect us to rollplay some goofy things while hopefully makeing the group laugh. We want some serious Rollplay but as well as a lot of leeway on having fun and doing what we want. My friend Nate doesn't love the idea of using the grid for moving and rather have the GM use an open mind and allow what movement he think fits, but he will deal with grid movement if he must. So in short we are looking for a openminded and fun GM that will have fun learning and/or teaching us while getting a few laughs at our ridiculousness.   If you seem interested and want to at least talk to me, or the both of us on skype to get a feel of who we are and to see if you would even want to go further and help us out my email is { mgo_solidsnake@yahoo.com } .  Also if you notice where that email comes from MetalGear Solid i <3 you :D. #2 Krusk Oct 14, 2013 16:42:15	What edition? I've got a buddy who is desperate for a new game, and I think he plays online a lot. It also sounds like his sort of game (not mine, sorry)   You probably should provide a lot more information in general though.  Edition? Number of players? Time Zone (or hours available) Do you guys own any books? Do you like any specific settings, or are you cool with a homebrew one? How open to homebrew rules are you?   I'd think at a minimum
(Reply to #2) A_vulture	Thank you for the advise and if i ever need a new GM ill take what you said to help me better explain what i need. I did find a GM but don't know if i can take down this thread or not.
