| #1atropos19May 08, 2008 15:37:59 | I'm about to play in a game with two PC's. My companion is going to play a Paladin and I was looking for some ideas. Stats: 18 16 15 10 9 6 I was thinking of maybe trying a Psion or possibly a Warlock. Any suggestions will help. I'm just looking for creative ideas. |
| #2RPJesusMay 08, 2008 16:00:18 | A sorcerer who only casts touch spells, delivered via high five. Wu Jen Taboos have some fun potential |
| #3doomsoughtMay 08, 2008 17:25:10 | level? |
| #4tyrionwindfallMay 09, 2008 20:00:48 | I once played an alcoholic, racist N human aetheist cleric that liked to convince random bar patrons that the guy in the dark corner wanted to talk to them. I'll never forget his "tragic" and ever-so-deserved death in a bar fight that he masterminded. My DM didn't like him. |

My group just finished a campaign in which one of us played at psion/soul knife and she had some awesome abilities. She eventually ended up with disintegrate and we all know that is a great spell :D I don't know all the stats (i.e. disciplines and stuff) she used but I could find out if you were interested. I've never played a psion myself but they sound fun. Of the classes I've played (fighter, bard, alchemist, druid, cleric) I enjoyed the druid the most. Lots of fun abilities in addition to spells. Though I'm not sure how nice he'd play with your paladin since they typically aren't lawful. A cleric may be your best bet to play with a paladin. |

You could leave the country and still have a place to stay, receive support and be sent on missions (endless plot hooks). |
| #8iserithMay 10, 2008 14:31:32 | Chaotic neutral half-orc barbarian. Put the 6 in Charisma. The paladin should be efeminate and fastidious while you are overbearing and slovenly. It's the fantasy Odd Couple. Da da da da da da da da daa da da daa daaaaa |
| #9khadmusMay 10, 2008 15:16:19 | I might try the druid, because your stats seem decent for that. They can be LN if you want, so potentially no conflict (or you could hybrid it with the CN Odd Couple idea). I would have seconded the Gray Guard, but paladin has a bit too much MAD for that (I think). |
| #10Demetri_KnighthawkMay 10, 2008 19:24:30 | play the warlock, and wear a pair of manacles at all time s with the paladins symbols on it. At properly dramatic moments, use the dark word invocation and shatter your bonds with your mighty fell power! |
| #11auspex7May 10, 2008 21:52:18 | a warlock a la Val Kilmer's version of Doc Holiday from "Tombstone"--with the paladin of course being your Earp. 6 str, 15 dex, 16 con, 18 cha, 10 int, 9 wis. the con is higher than Doc's would be obviously (would be switched with the rather pedestrian 10 int), but that would be to represent your supernatural resilience. play the character as a frail looking gallant with surprising fortitude, an adrenaline addiction, and a very pronounced belief in his own capability. good times! |
