Looking for name of a feat

Jul 14, 2009 1:14:58 One of the other players in my campaign took a feat at last level that he says allows him to use Wisdom instead of Constitution for hitpoints; he found it in the Character Builder, which he has, but I don't. He was a bit unclear about what it did, exactly, and I was wondering if anyone knew what it was and what, precisely, it does. He mentioned that it was a background feat, and that's all I know about it. As far as prereqs, he's a level 2 dwarf fighter with 18 Wis, and that's about all I can recall.

Jul 14, 2009 1:46:51 Hmm, a search in the Compendium using "hit points AND wisdom" revealed no feats that give that benefit.

I know there is a background that does that, but can't remember which one.

Jul 14, 2009 2:06:52 Auspicious birth (a scales of war background) gives your highest stat to hp instead of con. Backgrounds are usually meant to be taken at character creation only, so it's your call whether you want to allow this, and there's no feat that I could find that does that, though this may very well be worth a heroic tier feat, comparing favorably to Toughness at heroic.

Jul 14, 2009 3:44:13 Yup. Background yes, feat no. Auspicious birth and born under a bad sign both give it, and IIRC there's a forgotten realms background that does as well. I'm certainly not aware of any such feat, though.
