Looking to powergame a wizard

May 26, 2009 12:32:36 Hey guys, i need help makein a wizard. Human, 4th lvl.

Stats are

14 Str
16 Dex
16 Con
17 Int
11 Wis
16 Cha

If you can list the spells that i should get in my spell book, i get 9 first, 3 second

and if you can list the feats that would work the best, i'm looking to be a blast wizard if that helps.

May 26, 2009 13:30:24 Since you said you get 9 spells at 1st I assume you are playing 3.5. If so you might check out the CharOpp boards found here. If you poke around there you will find jsut about any and everything you will ever need to break a 3.x character.

Spellbooks: A wizard must study her spellbook each day to prepare her spells. She cannot prepare any spell not recorded in her spellbook, except for read magic, which all wizards can prepare from memory.

A wizard begins play with a spellbook containing all 0-level wizard spells (except those from her prohibited school or schools, if any; see School Specialization, below) plus three 1st-level spells of your choice. For each point of Intelligence bonus the wizard has, the spellbook holds one additional 1st-level spell of your choice. At each new wizard level, she gains two new spells of any spell level or levels that she can cast (based on her new wizard level) for her spellbook. At any time, a wizard can also add spells found in other wizards’ spellbooks to her own.

You have a +3 Int mod, so at first level you can place a total of six spells in your spellbook.

At 2nd level, you gain two more first level spells.

At 3rd level, you gain two second level spells.

At 4th level, you gain two more second level spells.

(you could know one less second level spell to gain another first level spell, but that wouldn't be very power-gamey. ;) )
