So a lord of hell took my soul and now we are going to fight him; but fighting him won't get our souls back (we found out later). So my character is trying to think of an offer like, 'We win you give us our souls, we lose..." but I can't think of anything to offer him since he has our souls. Any advice?

Steal it back.

Offer your services in this life if you lose

Steal someone else's soul instead (they're just as good as the original, really!)

Instead of fighting, offer him to steal two or three souls in place of your own.

It worked for Cap'n Jack!

Challenge him to a fiddling contest.

Threaten to reveal all his hidden good deeds if he doesn't give you back your soul.

The thing is my character is a good-aligned particularly powerful individual and time means nothing to him. He is willing to wait for old-age or whatnot to take its course to get my soul. Because of my strength he also doesn't feel I could bring many souls he would like as much as mine, that being said, he is a particularly devious character and worlds smarter than my character, which means any competition he would lose at he won't take and any other I would certainly lose at and not take. I would like to have something to offer up but I just don't feel I have anything to interest him.

Find out if he has any enemies who are capable to reclaiming your soul. Once he's defeated, you should have a window where they'd be able to get it back.

You may have to petition the god your character worships to see if he would be willing to help you, even if it means going on a quest.

I have a couple questions..

1) The definition of what a soul is (the union of spirit and form). I am going to assume you use the more common and incorrect definition of what a soul (spirit of a creature). I have to ask, how are your characters still alive?

Since he does have your souls this would, to me, indicate that he owns you.

2) How in the hell did you lose your "souls" anyway?

Ask politely for it back. Who knows, maybe that's all it takes.

The bargain you want to make can work but you have to do something first: kick his a**. After he is on the ground waiting for the finishing blow give him the ultimatum "give us our souls and you live or we kill you and track down our souls for ourselves" Then make sure to bring along a Neutral/Unaligned character to finish him off anyway, the evil of execution being offset by the fact (s)he took out a lord of hell.

Last i knew Asmoedius was a CR 81 greater diety. Good luck with that.

The rest are all Cr 48-55 with over 15 divine ranks.

Probably not, but they should be using them.

If soul were used correctly (view my first post on this thread) then you would know why one should care.

Remember though when the op uses the word soul he actually means spirit.

Losing your soul isn't a big deal unless you're an outsider, then you're screwed, not to mention dead.

As with any bargain, the key is finding something that he wants more than your soul and offering it. So perhaps he needs the shard of True Sorrow hidden in a keep in the Elemental Chaos and guarded by the exarch of a long forgotten deity to transport his armies en masse into the material plane (totally BSing, btw). You find this out by summoning and interogating one of his lieutenants with a summoning ritual. Then you go there, defeat the guardians, get the treasure, and have bargaining leverage.

Next you offer your treasure for your soul, make the exchange in a neutral location, and then go and beat the **** out of the overlord with your soul intact and take back the artifact to boot. Yes, it means that you have to serve his interests to recover what you need. But do you really have a choice? ;)

That's what I would do, anyway, but no promises that it won't come back to bite you in the ass!

IF you're powerful enough to enter hell and challenge a greater devil/demon for your soul; aren't you powerful enough to enter your/a deities realm and ask for a new one?
