Making an Interplanar Stalker

Aug 10, 2013 18:14:25 Howdy folks! I would like to put an interesting charater into my storyline that embodies the "go anywhere, find anyone, covertly" nature of a spy or hunter. I would like it to be a rather dark character but not one that is absolutely evil. I think I'm looking for the ability to travel across planes of existence easily, teleportation and perhaps invisibility or extreme stealth. Which class, paragon path and epic destiny combination would help achive this? The character will begin at level 20 in our campaign.

What's a player to do is about the things done by the person playing the game not what they put on the character sheet.

Is this an actual player character, or an NPC that's going to be showing up in an adventure?

NPCs in 4E DO NOT use the character creation rules.

They're created using monster stat blocks, and the DM simply gives them whatever powers he feels are appropriate - outside of combat, a monster or NPC doesn't need a specific power or item to be able to do something that's entirely plot-related, i.e., if the guy's a planeswalker, you give him Dr. Who's TARDIS and don't bother writing up rules for it unless the party tries to drive it or wants to destroy it. It's just a non-mechanical plot device.

Although, if you're looking for character class type stuff, there's an epic destiny (I think it's called dark wanderer) that fits what you're looking for. It's an option for my ranger/rogue hybrid. I'm not sure off hand what the prerequisites are though.
