| #1arturius1Jul 11, 2008 23:18:09 | After a party wipe last week, everyone rolled up new characters. In a six-person party, the new characters are: NG Cleric (Me) CN Sorc CG Fighter LN Rogue CN Gunmage (DM allows Iron Kingdoms) CN Dragon Shaman. My concern is the dragon shaman. A red dragon is playing a big part in the plot and the DS has decided to worship it as part of the character. While the character himself is CN, the "deity" is CE, which seems like a bad mix. The DM has played favorites with the dragon shaman's player before, as they're brothers. So if it came to a fight, I'm sure my build would whoop him, but the DM would intervene and make it so I somehow lose. My request here is how would I go about dealing with a party conflict without killing him? Spells? Negotiate with the party? Much appreciation for any assistance. |

I've had that happen in a campaign before. LG Knight (note, not lawful stupid) "CG" Cleric that was bordering "CE" as she went about interrogating/punishing the sailors on the ship that was taking us on something like a week long trip to where we needed to go because the sailors had "mis-deeds they needed to atone for." ... And eventually my Knight couldn't just stand by and wait to reach shore to let the law deal what she was doing, because soon the sailors would probably riot against her and the entire party and we'd be screwed no matter what. So...I stood up against the Cleric....... and died a horrible death. ... Which was ok because after I died the crew started to riot and the wizard cast fireball not thinking; scorched the entire crew, and thusly they were then stuck out in the middle of the sea with no one to pilot the ship and no experience doing such a thing. ...The campaign kind of ended at that point. It was fun though! |
