More than one monk build?

Jun 28, 2009 21:45:23 I'm a DM with a player who just rolled a monk, and I'm a bit concerned... as of right now, there seems to be only 1 build option and only 1 paragon path, and the only paragon path available doesn't really fit his character's story.

Are there any updates to the monk in DnDI (Dragon magazine, for example)? Or should I start creating a paragon path with him?

Jun 28, 2009 22:25:37 I would create one with him. I doubt d&di will release anything more. They didn't with the barbarian playtest.

Jun 29, 2009 1:42:34 There are still racial PP's, and if he's a brand new character, PHB 3 will probably come out with the monk before he hits level 11 anyway.

He could multiclass into another class's paragon path; the monk I'm playing is going to multi Fighter and go into Pit Fighter, for example.
