Im in a dragonmech campaign and i rolled up a Flying Dragonwrought Kobold Spellcaster.

One of the ways i was thinking of being combat effective during a fight was to fly high above the battle and drop Wyrm Ditherbombs down onto enemy mechs. Also considering rust bombs if they are more cost effective.

I dont want to have to buy them all so i was hoping to craft them, but I have never crafted before and I find the books confusing. I have spent the last hour trying to figure it out, but i think im missing some info...

Could someone plz explain to me what the process for crafting specifically either ditherbombs (any strength) or rust grenades? I think Ditherbombs may be prefered due to the fact they have various strengths and are less hazardous to our belongings as well.

Unless ditherbombs had some special rules pertaining only to them (and I don't think they do), you follow the same default rules for crafting any mundane item, which includes alchemical items.  If I remember correctly, ditherbombs could be very expensive, so you might want to find some way to access Fabricate and other skill boosters.

You can craft things with spells? I read fabricate and it doesnt seem like it would be sufficient enough to make a bomb, no matter how mundane... What other spells could be used?

You would be correct if ditherbombs where magical items, like a Necklace of Fireballs.  No spell besides Wish can instantly create magical items.

However, Ditherbombs are mundane alchemical items made with the Craft Alchemy skill.  If you have enough ranks, you can make them given enough time.  However, with the crafting rules as written, you could be spending weeks or even months crafting a single ditherbomb.  That's where the Fabricate spell comes in.

Fabricate allows you to make items with the craft skill instantly.  You still need the raw materials on hand and still have to make a craft check against the designated DC as part of the casting, but once you achieve that one check the item is complete.  You accomplish days, weeks, or months of work in only a few rounds.

Basically, Fabricate helps you do what you can already do with your crafting ranks, but now instead of four weeks from Tuesday.

There are three other spells that I know of that would allow you to make ditherbombs.  Wish could do it, but is 9th level and has a hefty xp cost.  Alchemical items would have become all but obselete not even halfway before Wish becomes a viable option.  Not worth it.  The other two spelsl are Major Creation and True Creation.  Major Creation allows you to make items out of nothing, but the only exist for a limit time.  True Creation is an Artifice domain only upgrade to Major Creation, functioning as Major Creation with a xp cost, but the items it creates are permanent.  The problem with the latter two spells is that they're very specific in what materials the spells can conjure.  So depending on what ditherbombs are actually made of, they might not even work.
