| #1pigknightMar 19, 2009 0:22:11 | Ok, so I'm a two-handed paladin tank, and I've been faithful to my healer. Then one day, I come to the game a little late and find her healing a one-handed swordmage. What should I do? |
| #2kyomamoruMar 19, 2009 0:28:03 | Pray to your god. Have him kill her's. That'll show her, once she doesn't have any way to use her Magic, she'll be right back behind you. Ps: You can then convert her to your God. |
| #3baneofelvesMar 19, 2009 0:31:13 | Oh jeebus, Are you posting this again? Besides, when Pallies touch themselves, they haal their wounds. Wait....that didn't come out right. |
| #4NautilusMar 19, 2009 2:04:07 | She's just not that into you. The swordmage, on the other hand... |
| #5BilopTheFleshwarperMar 19, 2009 2:21:57 | You should totally hook up with a warlord to get back at her. Then ask about a start a three man party for adventuring. |
| #6klaustheprinceMar 19, 2009 3:26:07 | Since when a fullblade on the head does not any problem solve? :D |
| #7viatosMar 19, 2009 8:37:22 | Well, by now he's probably marked her - she'd take a -2 penalty for even looking in your direction, not to mention he'd either be hot on her heels or blocking you with long-range intervention. Normally marking doesn't apply to allied healers, but obviously this is a special case - they've already broken the rules. Your best bet is to clear him off so you can re-mark, but you're both defenders - he won't give ground easily, and you don't have the DPS to take him head-on. Fact is, even if you're rolling in Strength, he's smart enough to see it coming and probably no slouch in the toe-to-toe department, either - so where's your advantage? It's simple: You've got a lot more Charisma, buddy. Sit him down and have a long heart to heart - and make sure she's invited. Let him know you don't think dividing the party's resources is in everyone's best interests, and that honestly, you'd do better trying to fill every necessary role. Don't be too blunt about it, but try to make it clear that she and you are drawing on the same source, whereas Arcane-types...well, they're known for doing their own thing. Explain that you don't even think the pair are compatible - he's probably one of those intellectual body-builder types, he doesn't get heart, the kind of thing you and she run off of. With any luck, you'll have won her back to where she belongs - your side. Fact is, most healers are wise enough to figure things out once you lay down the facts, and even if he can figure out a way to refute your points he'll just sound like a jerk doing it. I wish you the best, and hope you're back to shared feat trees and primary Attribute choices in no time! |
| #8prator_the_goldenMar 20, 2009 11:18:17 | This is a bizarre discussion... Arguably even weirder than that thread about bizarre things you can do with DnD physics... |
| #9pigknightMar 20, 2009 17:11:08 | I dump'd her and got myself a nice bard. She already had a striker but he seems to like me. |
| #10wyld_mutationMar 20, 2009 17:18:13 | This is a bizarre discussion... Arguably even weirder than that thread about bizarre things you can do with DnD physics... Linky the physics! And... I would recommend taking the Swordmage out discreetly. Maybe contract the rogue to do it. |
| #11cole_caecusMar 20, 2009 21:42:41 | Linky the physics! Yes, please link to the bizzare physics, it should be interesting to read. |
| #12MechaPilotMar 22, 2009 18:10:57 | Ok, so I'm a two-handed paladin tank, and I've been faithful to my healer. Then one day, I come to the game a little late and find her healing a one-handed swordmage. What should I do? JERRY! JERRY! JERRY! |
| #13DKaseMar 23, 2009 1:37:44 | Looks like you're going to be laying your hands on yourself more often. I'd recommend taking the healing hands feat to reduce the extra chafing. |
| #14DarkTemplarMar 23, 2009 1:59:08 | With all your Wisdom, just lay your hands on the swordmage when he isn't looking. You could even time it so as to be inappropriate, such as when the healer has just done so -- say that watching her do it made it just irresistible to you. You could also justify it in saying that now she's healed him, he's full of her energy, and you just wanted to be a part of it. If that doesn't send him running, I don't know how to advise you in this love triangle. |
| #15innabinderMar 23, 2009 8:07:21 | for the lulz, pigknight. |
