We have a very steady LFR group of six players, and although there have been a few character changes, most of us are set and personally happy with the character we have.  Now that we are hitting level 7 - 9, a glaring issue has come up, lack of damage output.  We also just learned that my characters avenger/monk hybrid was illegal (at least how she was using it) and she will be changing classes.  This opens up a chance to address the first issue of lack of damage.

We currently have:
Implement based valorous bard
A charging knight
Ardent
Artificer
Wizard
Multi-target monk
And the illegal avenger/monk who is changing class.

We rotate DM's so there is never actually 7 playing at one time.

The good news is with a defender and three leaders, we just don't die, but battles are starting to take a ridiculously long time.  Obviously throwing a striker in would make a big difference, but are there any in particular that might thoroughly benefit from the classes we already have?  We would like to stay away from a monk (as we already have one).

A Ranger. Rangers have excellent (the best) DPR, as well as excellent (the best) nova damage. Since Rangers make so many attacks against single targets it would really make good use of the accuracy and damage buffs granted by the leaders. If you need damage a Ranger is the best option.
If you guys aren't cherry picking mods to get the best items (iron armbands, and good magic weapons) the Ranger's damage output won't be as great, and an optimized Thief/Rogue, would do nicely.

All that matters is that you add a good high DPR single target striker.  Bow ranger is an obvious choice since you already have a decent front line.  Otherwise I would go with a two weapon ranger, thief, rogue (can also be ranged), slayer, barbarian (rageblood or thaneborn), or avenger (maybe a unity or pursuit build).  You already probably have all your skills covered well with your party makeup, except possibly wisdom and either the avenger or ranger could do those skills if you need them.

Pick which one of those looks the most interesting to you and make sure you have a good basic attack and get the bard and ardent to start ganting you some.  Of those the most interesting ones IMO will be the barbarian, avenger, and rogue, while the ranger, thief, and slayer will be a bit more repetetive.

With three leaders, you should never be at a loss for buffs, so the Avenger isn't as important.  I would definitely lean toward the two-weapon ranger or a charging barbarian.  The barbarian palying smash brothers with the knight just sounds like a whole lot of fun.

Thirding (or whatever) a strong striker, ideally one with a defending slant - I'd be looking at Slayer, Barbarian or (just maybe) Berzerker.  You've got a lot of vulnerable squishy types there.
