Right now we've got an Control Elf Wizard/Cleric(Divine Oracle), a Defender Dwarf Fighter/Cleric (WarPriest) and my guy, whom I'm having trouble deciding on. Since we're short a CHA leader, we're kind of screwed in terms of out-of-combat Diplomacy and the like. I initially rolled an Archer Elf Ranger/Cleric(WarPriest) for some nice extra ranged doom and battle functionality, but again, crap CHA. Now I came up with two solutions: One is that I sacrifice a bit of WIS adding with the skill up level bonuses and end up with decent WIS and CHA at 30, and blow a feat for Diplomacy training, and we get a decent Dip check endgame (eh, +9, but it's better than the current +2 we all pretty much have). Luckily with everyone multi-classing a Cleric, we have plenty of clutch heals. Two is that I roll a Devoted Elf Cleric/Paladin(WarPriest) and go nuts with WIS and CHA and make him our party's out of combat leader. This presents a problem though: We have no real damage. With our Wiz being a control Wiz and our Fighter being a tank, we have no severe creature murdering abilities unless I start going serious pew pew with my radiant damage, but it's still so sub-par compared to a hail of arrows. I am ok with either choice, but I'm really leaning towards Cleric just for the out-of-combat functionality (our DM prefers political agendas over dungeon crawling anyways). I just want to know if it would be all that effective in the Control Wizard / Defense Fighter group (Our Fighter is willing to reroll into combat fighter, if necessary). Any advice would rock =D |

Thievery and Stealth are class skills for Warlocks, and mesh nicely with the new stuff you can do with training in Arcana (like detect magic!). The Fey Pact uses Charisma as the primary casting ability. Half-elves get a boost to CHA and Diplomacy, plus the ability to pick up one At Will power from any other class as an additional Encounter Power. Warlocks don't dish out the single-target damage that a rogue can do (especially one with the Backstabber feat), but they can still do impressive damage at a range. A lot of Fey Pact powers provide various teleportation effects, making Fey Pact Warlocks able to move around the battlefield without drawing opportunity attacks. |

I think the player who's taking the fighter might be better off just taking straight Paladin, or possible Fighter/Warlord. I agree Half-Elf Warlock would fit well with the party as is. Maybe take some Warlord abilities too. |

Student of Battle (Warlord multiclass) gets you skill training in any of the Warlord's class feats, plus inspiring word 1/encounter. Else Pact Initiate gets you a skill from Warlock, plus one of the Pact At-Wills as an Encounter power. |
