My character is a Fighter 2/Rogue 9/Warblade 4 heavy armor "tank". I have three Wishes to spend in tonight's session which is in two and a half hours. I have no idea what to spend them on, though it can't be anything that would cost the Genie XP.

Super Homerun Ideas Go!

Go the benevolent route: Use your wishes to benefit a charity run by the church of your party's cleric. (New building for the orphanage, good crops, etc...)

Permanent free room & board when you travel through the area, strong incentive for the cleric to keep you alive, and (most importantly), if the genie is evil, and the wishes all backfire...

...it's not like your the one holding the cool new sword!!!

Wait! I mean... HOW TERRIBLE!!! We should get that genie for his crimes!!!

  • I wish for no individuals or groups other than myself to be affected by my wishes.
  • I wish to continue living at least until I am the oldest member of my race.
  • I wish for the next harmful thing to happen to me to occur posthumously.

Really though, wishes should be storyline oriented, not sources of character improvement. I need more information to give you cool wish ideas. Here's a list of generics though:

I wish to be stronger/faster/tougher/smarter/wiser/more charismatic. An inherent +1 bonus is guaranteed by the wish; no screw-ups. You can also wish for the same one up to 5 times.

I wish for the best thing that could possibly happen to me to happen to me - A fun one for you DM to grant. Alternative: I wish for a superiorly intelligent being with my best interests in mind to choose my other two wishes.

I wish for a mound of wheat weighing 1 million pounds - It's technically possible since wheat is worth 1cp per pounds. Alternative: I wish for 100 000 chickens (I can't remember what exactly a chicken was worth, but it's low).

I wish for my next wish to be granted. I wish for my first wish not to be granted. I wish for my previous two wishes to be granted. :P

I wish to weild every weapon in the world proficiently (Then expertly, then masterfully).

I wish to be viewed in better light (At the very least you'll glow permanently, which is cool :P).

I wish for every my allies cast upon another ally to affect myself as well. I wish for every spell my allies cast upon me to affect all my allies as well. I wish that if my wishes are interpreted the way I intend, the genie granting the wishes will be set free.

I wish that, no matter what I need to buy or how much the cost, I will always have the exact change available in my pack.

Of course, eventually some NPC will demand "one live hellhound" as payment for his services, and then hilarity shall ensue...

How much are you asking for that castle?

Or, we can just settle on the ambiguity of the word "pack:"

1. A group of things wrapped or tied together for easy handling or carrying; a bundle, esp. one to be carried on the back of an animal or a person: a mule pack; a hiker's pack.

2. A definite quantity or standard measure of something wrapped up or otherwise assembled for merchandising (sometimes used in combination): a pack of cigarettes; a six-pack of beer.

3. The quantity of something that is packaged, canned, or the like, at one time, in one season, etc.: last year's salmon pack.

4. A group of people or things: a pack of fools; a pack of lies.

5. A group of certain animals of the same kind, esp. predatory ones: a pack of wolves.

6. Hunting. a number of hounds, esp. foxhounds and beagles, regularly used together in a hunt.

7. A complete set of playing cards, usually 52 in number; deck.

8. Backpack.

9. A considerable area of pieces of floating ice driven or packed together.

10. Metalworking. a pile of metal sheets for hot-rolling together.

11. Medicine/Medical.
a. a wrapping of the body in wet or dry clothes for therapeutic purposes.
b. the cloths so used.
c. Obsolete. the state of being so wrapped.

12. Mining. a. Also called pack wall. a rubble wall for supporting a roof.
b. any of various other roof supports of timber, timber and rubble, or rubble and wire mesh.

13. A cosmetic material, usually of a pastelike consistency, applied either to the face or to the hair and scalp: a mud pack; a beauty pack; a henna pack.

14. Obsolete. a plot; conspiracy.

15. Obsolete. a low or worthless person.

Yes, I'm liking your wish already :P

you could wish for telepathy among the members of your party...or darkvision...or tremorsense...detect magic at will...a giant crystal castle that flies under your command...the universe to end...you could wish for all sheep to very dangerous to even the highest level monsters and characters (after buying them all and training them)

<.<

1) Wish for a Deck Of Many Things to be among your possessions (but not be unconveniently bound to you (i.e. stuck to your hand for the next three years) while still being able to use with it's magic still in-tact.)

2) Wish that when using a Deck of Many Things you shall never draw the following cards- Balance, Donjon, Euryale, Flames, Fool, Idiot, Rogue, Ruin, ... I guess Skull, though that one makes for a load of fun, Talons, and The Void.

3) Wish that whenever you draw a card from the Deck of Many things, you receieve the benefits two-fold.

Unless your DM distorts the wishes (quite possibly entirely possible) you've just won the game of D&D.

3 wishes for a fighter rogue warlock?

1. I wish Whatever I pick up, I can use it masterfully (weapon mastery)
*then immediately pick up the halfling to test.*
2. I wish to Throw arrows by hand as proficienly as a master archer can shoot them from a bow. (gained this on my ranger..nasty)

3. (Rp opportunity here) Whenever encountered, I will always be given an opportunity to find or gain the coin needed for said encounter. (DMs love this. endless adventure hooks)

Do not ask for:

-To be the greatest samurai ever. (you die and are entombed in the greatest samurai's coffin)
- For one million gold (it is usually taken from the king's treasury and you are shortly thereafter....hunted.
- more spells per day (genie will tell you they can only be used from 11:55pm to 12:00 midnight.)
- To be stronger, smarter, etc..(genie will take 2 from one stat to give you two in the one you asked for) bam! you're stronger..but at the same time...dumber.

just some fun mishaps i've walked into.

If I were your DM I would have someone demand your virginity as payment.

Hilarity would ensue.
