Jul 01, 2008 3:15:17 I'm slowly muddling through the whole creating a character thing and have found that I really need to find a group to play with. I was hoping this site would be functional by now so I could play online with other people.

Anyone know of a good site/place to get introduced to current players so I can get together with some people either locally (in the city of Chicago) or online?

As a small note I wanna make a Dragonborn Fighter :p

Also check with your Friendly Local Gaming Store. Many offer free community bulletin boards, and may host regular "game day" type events.

Failing that, recruit your friends!

Is that a troll in the newbie's post? Bad form.

College's also often have gaming groups, either directly known as a gaming club or as a scifi club or something like that. You can probably check club listings on websites. They may or may not let non-students join.
