I do not know how i got the plus 9 though and would like to know how. is it an enchantment of come sort? i remember paying i think 1000 gp for a 1d6 of fire damage on one sword but im not sure how i got the +9. |

We simply do not have enough information. 3.5v and i think i figured it out i have a 27 strength and you add that to the melee damage right? which would be +8. i am level 5 barbarian half orc. not sure where the other +1 came from |
| #4sallaDec 26, 2012 22:05:26 | Yes, you add your Strength modifier to the damage of melee weapons. Are the bastard swords magical? If so, they will have at least a +1 enhancement bonus, which will apply to your attack and damage rolls. |
| #5jdmimports19Dec 26, 2012 22:09:21 | Yes, you add your Strength modifier to the damage of melee weapons. i do not remember if they were enchanted or what not. they weren't when I bought them. I know one sword has fire damage as a 1d6 roll |
| #6sallaDec 26, 2012 22:19:27 | Yes, you add your Strength modifier to the damage of melee weapons. It is not possible to have a Flaming weapon that is not at least a +1 magic weapon as well. Ergo, that bastard sword is +1 Flaming, and that accounts for the other +1 to attack and damage. Presumably, the other weapon is +1 as well. |
