For those of us who are; I want to create a station for backround music while my friends and I play D&D to help set the mood and get us into the moment, I have already made one for Star Wars but that was easy (thank you John Williams) I was hoping I could get some suggestions on songs and/or artists to use as seeds to create it, I'm looking for more of ambient instumental music so as not to distract us Or if you already have a D&D radio station or know of one, share it with me (cwrothrock@gmail.com) |

Pandora gets excited and overzealous with what they play after you thumbs up too much. I added Gnarls Barkley to my MGMT station and now it keeps playing Chris Brown and Usher. No good. |

From there we get into some Black Flag, Replacements, Smiths, Dead Kennedys. On to some Melvins, Radiohead, Pavement, Pixies. And finally we round the evening off with a little Le Tigre, Death From Above 1979, McLusky, Pretty Girls Make Graves. |
| #7angelic_demonApr 22, 2009 14:58:09 | Definitely suggest Hans Zimmer (He was the man behind the music for Pirates of the Caribbean, if you don't already know). Another thing to look into is Distant Worlds, a compilation of orchestrated tunes from Final Fantasy. For that matter, Nobuo Uematsu/The Black Mages. Some of those tunes are truly epic, especially "The Skies Above". Yasunori Mitsuda is another epic composer - he did the music for Chrono Trigger and Xenosaga. |

| #9owls_and_more_owlsApr 25, 2009 4:45:56 | I always use either the Final Fantasy 12 soundtrack or the Final Fantasy Tactics soundtrack. Also, I'm glad to see another person who has at least heard of Joy Division. This pleases me. ![]() |
