| #1DivineHumilityJan 25, 2012 0:59:48 | I made a video for my question. Is This Legit? Step Up and Pushing Assault. Does the way I've viewed the rules work? Please leave some feedback! I'd love to hear all manner of views on this issue. |
| #2MalakLightfootJan 25, 2012 1:23:36 | I made a video for my question. While there may be some folk on these forums who know, Pathfinder is not actually a Dungeons & Dragons product (despite being often called D&D 3.75), nor is it produced by Wizards of the Coast. You might receive an answer faster, and more accurately, on the Paizo forums. |
| #3MysteriaJan 28, 2012 12:09:11 | I guess you want to push a target away with pushing assault then follow the target with step up? (Sorry, but I'm not going to look at a video just to find out what your actual question is.) If that's the right question, I'd say no (see bolded parts below). Step Up (Combat) You can close the distance when a foe tries to move away. Prerequisite: Base attack bonus +1. Benefit: Whenever an adjacent foe attempts to take a 5-foot step away from you, you may also make a 5-foot step as an immediate action so long as you end up adjacent to the foe that triggered this ability. If you take this step, you cannot take a 5-foot step during your next turn. If you take an action to move during your Prerequisites: Str 15, Power Attack, base attack bonus +1. Benefit: When you hit a creature your size or smaller with a two-handed weapon attack modified by the Power Attack feat, you can choose to push the target 5 feet directly away from you instead of dealing the extra damage from Power Attack. If you score a critical hit, you can instead push the target 10 feet directly away from you. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunities, and the target must end this move in a safe space it can stand in. You choose which effect to apply after the attack roll has been made, but before the damage is rolled. |

Quite aside from the question at hand... Yeesh. the 4E version of that would be so much simpler and easier to read... Step Up At-Will - Immediate Reaction Trigger: An adjacent enemy shifts away from you Effect: You shift one square to a square adjacent to the triggering enemy If NOTHING else, 4E's designers have certainly found a better format for powers. |
