So, my DM said that I can become a demi-god by performing a MIracle and gaining enough worshipers. (Roughly 500)

With that being said, a very big volcano is going to errupt in upcoming sessions, and I was just wondering if there is anyspell out there that will be able to control lava? Or someting along the lines of contolling an element or stopping the Volcano from erupting.

Thanks

Stoneshape could make some channels or pockets or something to control the laval flow.  Wall of stone could do something similar.

Your DM may let you make a house ruled inverted version of the spell "Transmute rock to lava" from complete arcane.

You could encase the whole volcanoe in walls of force or similar spells, and just let it erupt in its little bubble.

I don't know of any spells to stop it from erupting though. Find out what your DM thinks causes volcanoes to erupt, and see if you can stop that from happening. (Many DMs/people have no idea or wrong ideas)

Make sure your DM considers "casting a spell" to be a "miracle." And are you sure he's not talking about the spell "Miracle"?

I'm curious, OP. What happens when you become a demigod? Do you get additional powers, do you answer prayers, get temples built to you? Do you have the responsibility of watching over all your new worshippers?

may be talking about a prestiege class or something winter? im assuming 3.5 and im kinda rusty, so, just a shot in the dark.

another fun one would be dimention door or some other portal magic to send the lava somewhere else. i duinno about your DM, but i wouldnt trust any of my DMs to not have simply capping the lava not end in disaterous results lol.

I would say you could have you and your DM treat it like a skill challenge; Hard DC of course. However, I'm thinking of the game in 4e rules, so my ideas may not apply to this particular scenario.
