Players that annoy you?

We all have them folks, the players that do things which upset us DM's and the rest of the group off. Whether it be from disregarding what we say to making up their own rules. It's high time a list was made of all the annoying things these people do. I'll kick off-

I'd like to start this one with a scenario that has actually happened in one of my friend's campaigns.

DM: You see some boots lying on the floor of the dungeon. They look very well made, but something about them feels odd.
Player 1: These boots are too strange, I'd like to roll an Arcana check to see if they are magical. *Rolls a 10*
DM: These boots are defintely magical, and you can tell they aid stealth, giving a +2 to all stealth rolls, there's something more too, but you cannot tell what it is.
Player 1: That's pretty cool, if nobody else wants them, I'll take them.
After a short conversation about who should get the boots player 1 decides to take the boots.
DM: Unfortuantely, what you failed to detect, is these boots are cursed, as you put them on, your feet begin to feel incredibly heavy, and you take a -20ft movement penalty.
Player 1: Well crap.
Player 2: Ha! Serves you right for not checking properly.

Later in the game we end up in another dungeon, after failing a couple of checks badly, player 2 sets off a spear trap

DM: Well player 2, the spear catches you unawares as you weren't paying attention, so please make a dex save throw with a -2 penalty

Player 2: What? Why a -2 penalty? Just because I failed some rolls? That's stupid.
DM: You got a three and then a five, just roll
Player 2: *Grumbles, follows up by rolling a 1*
DM: Well, too late do you notice the spear shooting towards you, and you turn just in time for it to pierce right through your stomach. You go sailing straight into the wall, where you are now hung, and lose 4d6 hitpoints (loses all but 5 hitpoints), also, you're bleeding out and your friends will have to save you if you don't want to die.

Player 2: What? That's so stupid and unfair! Why does the bad stuff always happen to me? You're just picking on me now.
DM: Player 2, you had plenty of chances, and the rest of the party have all had their share of unfortuante events too.
Player 2: I'm not playing if you're going to be so biased against me.

Basically somebody that doesn't care about what happens to the other people, and actively takes pleasure whenever they are unlucky, and actively chastises them if they say 'Aw man that sucks', yet the second he has anything bad happen to him, or even miss out on his +2 shortsword, he throws a hissy fit and cries to mummy.

I'm sorry, are you looking for advice, or do you think these forums are facebook? Because exactly such a thread exists on these forums, and on the "What's a DM to do?" forum, and on CharDev, and a bit on CharOp..

Sorry, I did have a look, but couldn't find any (my bad). If you can give me a link I will move my post to that. Thanks.
