This feat gives you more familiars to choose from, and feats from other books allow other familiars too. But you'd be getting at most a CR 2 creature. Griffon is CR 4, so I doubt there's a feat that would allow it. You're out of luck.
#3 shadowshimmer Mar 18, 2008 7:54:55	It can depend on your DM too. I asked for an exotic familiar that was not on the list and the DM let me roll percentage dice and stated if I rolled 1% then I got it. Well I rolled 1% and got it.
