| #1tulasshornSep 30, 2009 12:22:47 | Hello all,
I've been enjoying Steven Erikson 'Malazan Book of the Fallen' series and got to thinking how I might go about creating a T'lan Imass bonecaster. I'm thinking revenant with a slight refluff to something more skeletal and then take the feat than means you are fully dead (can't remember the name). As to class I'm thinking a non-druid controller class or maybe a bit a starlock thrown in with a little refluff/fire-theming going on. Thoughts?......
Thanks |

I'm not sure that any one class quite fits with the Bonecasters, although just off the cuff Invoker pops into my head for some reason. Just as a general impression, I think you might want to go hybrid or maybe multiclass if you want to get a more accurate representation of a Bonecaster. |

I'd almost make the Bonecaster a Storm Sorceror. Or a Cosmic Sorceror. Warlock is tempting, but just doesn't seem to fit right, IMO. (Definitely not Fey, Dark or Vestige, at least.) I can't wait until the Swarm Druid comes out, so I can make a D'ivers. I hate the new smilies. ... And after the Third book, you'd think I'd learn not to become attached to ANYONE in the series... (I'm on The Bonehunters now. 3.75 books to go until I'm caught up.) |

I'd actually reflavour the heck out of a warforged (to go with the undying sort of concept---you have to bust them up real good) or human (due to their flexibility rule wise) racially and probably go storm sorcerer multiclass druid or shaman. |

I wasn't sure if the 9th was out yet or not. The listing I saw said 2009 for it, so I was assuming it'd be out by the time I got there. (It still might.) |
