Mar 20, 2008 12:40:47 Me and my husband have a dragon campaign and I am playing a Shadow Dragon for the first time and we are having trouble finding out a few things about them such as why they have a +7 natural armor and what kind of foods they like to eat?My husband said that most dragons only get 1 natural armor per HD not including the first. But for some reason Shadows have 4 HD and a +7 NA. Also my husband wants to put somethings that Shadows prefer to eat but we can 't seem to find anywhere that will tell me what they like to eat.

Mar 20, 2008 21:54:52 4 Hit Dice and 7 Natural Armor means that at Level 1 they have 4 Natural Armor, and gain 1 each Hit Dice they gain.

As for progressing them, figure their Level Adjustment in the Draconomicon, something along the lines of +3 Level Adjustment and Young Adult has a +5 Level Adjustment, and 15 Hit Dice, which means at level 20, you would either be hitting Young Adult or almost hitting it. I had a friend who tried a Fang Dragon, similar setup there too. I did a Solo DM game, he was only player. Pretty tough little snot, but I gave him a run.

If not in the Draconomicon, then do some search on Google, they may have something.

Mar 20, 2008 22:12:58 We have already done the monster class build at 20th. Just never played a dragon or seen one that started with that much of a NA. most don't get any to start.

We looked at both the books that shadow dragon is in but nether tells anything about what type of food they prefer to eat. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot?
