Well, my friend has a ranger and i've been trying to help him choose a feat for when he levels up, he was thinking shot on the run (players handbook), but i can't help but wondering what advantages attacking with a ranged weapon in the middle of a move, i can see spring attack being useful, but shot on the run?

Hello new poster, and welcome to the D&D forums.

As that seems to be a question about 3.5, it would probably be best put at the following link.

http://forums.gleemax.com/forumdisplay.php?f=520

that forum is specifically for older edition questions about feats, skills, and a few other things, and is more appropriate as D&D 3.5 is now an older edition of D&D since 4th edition was released recently.

Move from behind a corner, shoot your Arrow and move back around the corner.

No problem, they are sort of "buried" down there. If not for having forgotten all of the 3.5 rules I could on purpose so I could learn 4th edition faster.. I would have answer the question for you to start with.

Also good to note, D&D 4th edition has been out for two weeks and appears to be selling much like hot-cakes.
