So many deaths...

May 13, 2012 22:14:01 Looking for some expert advice. Here is the jyst: My DM is a bit of a hardass, not complaining, just a fact of the group. In the 3 and 1/2 months we have been playing, weekly, there have been 12 character deaths... I needn't point out that is nearly 1 a session.

I have survived by keeping my character more than a little paranoid, and massively prepared as best I can. I love casters, hybrids such as bards, can anyone link me a 3.5 Wotc materials only powerhouse character who can basically be a one man group if needed?

If you have Savage Species, I think the Anthropomorphic Bat is LA+0 and has a big Wisdom bonus (so, we're stacking broken on top of broken to get BORKED). Take Natural Spell for your L6 feat, and you're set to wreck house.

*Okay, very rarely, but never for a spellcaster.

Heck, clip your wings and take everything else and lose the flight, you're still going to be way ahead (you can fly in Wild Shape anyway).

It simply wouldn't work without a +1 LA race, and the pay-off is HUGE.
