Have you started any trends in your party? I mine we almost always sleep in ropetricks because one of my charecters used it to escape from an army of cavemen riding ice skitters... I'm about to make some boots of false gravity soon, I believe those will become popular as well.

I got one character making everyone paranoid. Mostly because her warnings often prove true. "They probably have teleport redirection."

Enter party member getting mad, attempting a teleport... and landing in a death trap.

That's not starting a trend, that's giving the DM ideas. ;)

I play 2nd ed with my dad and my wife, then turn around and play 3.5 with my friends.

One of the popular things I did was take the strength spell from the 2nd ed spell book and simply add the dexterity spell, the charisma spell, ect.

In my old group I started the catchphrase: "Tease The Witch!"

This actually derived from the old TSR mini-game called Saga (anybody else remember those? Revolt On Anteres? They've Invaded Pleasentville? Vampyre?) which had a vaguely Norse-type settling. In that game witches were deadly in that they would cast two spells in combat, one of which "Is" (or 'Ice') completely froze over the territory you were in, rendering it useless for the rest of the game. I used to beg the others to not tease the witch.

So, the term for a foolhardy plan: " That sounds like Teasing The Witch!"
Or, as a friendly warning: "Don't Tease The Witch, dude."
Or" "Fine, you do that, I'm gonna go Tease The Witch!"

Peace.

They've Invaded Pleasantville!

Gods, I loved that one. Zebu-Lon feared me.
