Throwing Build?

A build in which the main character uses other creatures as thrown weapons, hopefully using his own supply of followers/believers. Throwing people into other people kinda thing.

So what I'm looking at is a build designed for throwing creatures. Before I write stuff up myself, figured I'd check if someone had already done something. If not, I'll do what I can then stick it up.

Got the idea from Pikmin. In the Nintendo Pikmin games, Captain Olimar is an adventurer who runs around tossing small animate plant-people to solve his problems. If you haven't played 'em, do yourself a favour and try!

I basically see something like a goliath followed by a swarm of kobolds, and literally throwing them at enemies. Started thinking about how to write something like that up, and thought Thrallherd PrC from XPH, for your live rounds (pun intended) along with the Throw Enemy feat from Races of Stone would be a good place to start, if nothing else. Trouble is, having someone good at attacking and still having the Thrallherd PrC isn't the easiest thing ever. Would Hulking Hurler (not abused) work for this? Or maybe some setting sun maneuvers from Tome of Battle?

What are your thoughts or ideas?

-Fling Ally
-Leadership("ammo")
-Hulking Hurler should work, I imagine.
-Any throwing-related feats, including the one that lets you use your strength

You should be good to go.

I figured Leadership was the obvious way to go, but your following of thrallherd believers rejuvenates every 24 hours, which is why I suggested it as a safer way to maintain an ammo pile.

Oh, it does? Well crap, yeah, that's the way to go. Although if you get an extra feat, Leadership will be a good backup. :D

Hulking Hurler requires something of Large size or larger to even take. But consider this...mix it with a Master Thrower...

You could try the CO boards. I guarantee that you will get twice the results in just a fraction of the waiting time.;)

Good idea Silver, but they already thought of that;
A thrallherd cannot take the Leadership feat; if the character already has it, the feat is lost and replaced by [thrallherd]

As for Master Thrower, the abilities I see as most useful would be Defensive Throw, then either Doubletoss or more likely Two with One Blow. So its worth one level for sure, maybe 3, but I wouldn't say all 5.

I was going to suggest the PrC Whisperknife, from Races of the Wild, until I realized throwing people when you're a halfling isn't exactly... well, possible. But it is really a great class for (halfling) throwers.

Does anyone have experience with ToB Setting Sun maneuvers? Would those work for this purpose?

What about using elementals tiny-med? after thrown they could even use attacks after. That would almost be like pikmin. Best hurler is most likely halfling. You would need a way take resist energy of different ones. Best one would be the ring of univ energy resist. You could even use handle animals to train them.

Not kobolds. Dwarves. Dwarves are the missiles of choice.

Not so sure about the Master Thrower part (I think that requires actual weapons, but it's been a while since I've read CW).

Anyway, I like the Goliath idea. If you can get away with it, try doing a combination of Hulking Hurler + War Hulk.

Really liking this idea. They even fit the fluff for the different kinds of pikmin, too. The trouble is, the Toss Ally feat requires large size or powerful build. Maybe I can work something out through swordsage. Guess I've gotta read up on Setting Sun moves.
