My character had to use diplomacy to persuade the party that we wanted this egg because they thought it was a bad idea, but I suceeded so the egg is mine. Once it hatches I will have to make a handle animal check of 23 for a consecutive month. I have no handle animal ranks, upon leveling up I can put a maximum of 9 points so I will have to roll a minimum of 14, 30 times in a row. I want to find a way to make these odds a little better.
(edit) So Useful information, I am a factotum and once per day I can use one inspiration point to use cunning knowledge
Cunning Knowledge:When making a check involving a skill in which you have at least 1 rank, you can spend 1 inspiration point to gain a bonus on the check equal to your factotum level. You can use this ability once per day for a particular skill.
So I will be level 6 by the time I have to be making these checks so that puts the minimum dice roll at 8...
1. A thought that I had was to find someone else to rear the animal for me, but as it turned out the we killed what was left of the King of the Fey. The dryads were probably my best option, but I don't know how angry they are with us at the moment so they are probably out of the question. (We are stuck on a different plain than our own and can't escape at the moment).
2. My second thought was just to buy items to enhance this, but I only have roughly 3500 gold. Now, I will possibly get more after our next fight.
There are probably some other things you may need to know about what's going on, so if you do, ask and I shall answer!
