Feb 23, 2010 18:41:04 Okay, sooooo. I'm part of a three-person group of complete novices. We don't actually know each other--we've never met in person. However, we're really looking forward to a great campaign together.

Only problem? We can't find a DM.

Everyone we've asked is either too busy to handle it, or doesn't want to. I don't know if this is quiiiitte the right place to post this, but a DM is wanted!

We're playing a 4e Eberron campaign, mostly mystery and puzzle-solving based. If you were to DM for us, it'd be a text-based IRC game--we'd try Skype, but one of our group doesn't have access to a microphone. Let me know if you're interested, or if you have any questions!

CCS, let me rephrase: that's what we as the group would be most interested in playing, and so a DM that would be really interested in making up that sort of setting and feel would be absolutely great. If such a person doesn't exist, we wouldn't mind, but we'd have to create new characters---I admit as complete and total novices we kind of got confused about game mechanics, though only I have the excuse of being on painkillers. That's a good question; thank you for letting me clarify.

I have gotten an offer through a PM, and provided the offerer's time schedule works with ours, we're going to set a date to do a one-off test run with some sort of premade characters. I'll keep you in mind if it doesn't work out, InnerBeast. Thanks for responding, guys.

Feb 26, 2010 4:47:32 I might have missed it, but did you post where you were located? Might be lurker DMs here who would be interested, but who don't know where you are. You might also consider posting a "looking for DM in ____" in the "What's a DM to do?" area.

They're looking to play over IRC. Location is irrelevant, although time zone might be somewhat handy.

Another member here. Well Laundryghost and I are located on the east coast, but I do not know about our other player. I believe he might be central or mountain so it's still close in proximity to our timezones.
