Okay so in the campaign the party died as a whole ( at the DM's will ) and all the good players went to a good place while the evil ones ( including me ) went straight to hell. A little back story is needed here my character has never died while the rest of the party have at least once. The thing here is that each time one died I ran away as fast as possible to live. Some of these people were in fact evil and before death I tried to run away again. I have now in hell met up with the old party members ( DM controlled ) and they are attempting to torture me and we are currently in a chase that the current party is helping them in. What do you think I should do to live now?? |

Since your DM is putting you in this situation beyond your control, you might as well go all passive-resistance on him. "Ok, so my former allies torture me for what seems like an eternity. What's next?" Nothing that happens while dead matters should you come back to life. Nothing you do while dead can help you come back. Only DM fiat is going to allow you to escape. Sit like a stone until he shoves you back to life to get back to the story. |

If it's Hell as in the Nine Hells, I don't really know because I don't know as much about the Nine Hells or the Infinite Layers of the Abyss. Now, if it's the Abyss like in Dragonlance, you are only limited by your will, so you could theoretically drop all their rears with a lightning bolt or meteor swarms. Heck, go Final Fantasy VII and drop a real meteor on the abyss. I bet after all that the demon lords will just raise you from the dead to get you out of their hair/scales/feathers. Other than that, just demand to know why the characters are treating you like that for something they would all have done. Then, if you are going to be brought back from the dead, then do the passive resistance that has already been suggested. If you are meant to take it, then just will yourself out of existance. For one thing, you can make a new character, and two, it provides the DM with a possibility to bring your character back as a servant of Tharizdun, seeking to unmake the universe. |

I personally do not use the game to punish my friends for their bad behavior, even in character. But it seems to me that you might want to give some thought as to what you have done to turn basically everybody in the game against you. I'm not saying they're right. The right thing in my mind would have been to have an actual conversation with you about why you feel the compulsion to ditch the party, steal from companions, kill the wizard's familiar, or whatever else is troubling these people. I'm just saying this looks to me like a pretty clear hint. Contrition, on the part of your character at least, may be in order. |

| #9daveoftheraveJun 26, 2009 13:07:03 | Talk to the DM about it. Suggest starting a new game. |
| #10StevenOJun 26, 2009 13:09:38 | Now while it may not be so pleasing to a typical party I can see a personallity that will always run when the going gets tough. Now through DM fate you are dead and trying to outrun the everlasting effects of death. My thought is to just metagame your running character and walk away granted the suggestion to just "stop at take it" may be what you should do if you decide to continue with the group. |

| #12koukJun 28, 2009 0:23:47 | I'm finding it tough to parse quite what you want here. Do you want the character to be rescued from hell? Are you fine with having him just die permanently if allowed? Do you want to "make amends" with the people you've betrayed, maybe get them on your side? Go to where the rest of the (good) group is and rejoin them? I doubt anything good will come from a player-DM relationship where intentions are to annoy each other above all else. |
| #13bone_nagaJun 28, 2009 0:45:50 | We'd need to know more about Hell in this campaign. Is it like the Nine Hells? Lead them towards the River Styx, and somehow trick them into getting in the water without you doing it yourself (assuming it still makes you forget, I don't know anymore). Problem solved. Or try to catch a ride on the river and get the hell out of there (no pun intended). |
| #14countesskathleenJun 28, 2009 3:37:34 | Honestly, what the heck are you playing there anyway? Party member? Antagonist? And how is there a dead party and a current party at all? Have some players started new characters after dying while others had been brought back to life? Are you the only one from the old party who "survived"? And how did running away from an overwhelming enemy force make you evil?? Now there's some puzzlers... |
