| #1emydMay 07, 2012 23:26:12 | I have a character who's goal is to open a museum. I just don't know what kind of exhibits I would put up. The only things I could think of were a complete dragon skeleton and works of art. What kind of exhibits would you put up? |
| #2MatyrMay 08, 2012 1:20:34 | I would focus on the cultural aspects of Museums. Maybe try to get an exhibit for each country / region / race. He could focus on different minute details to get things really done well for the individual exhibits. Make the character an artist or something, taking meticulous maps of stuff and have him ask the reason for random cultural facts. Your DM might hate you, or use your curiousity to drive plot points and information he wants to give the characters home. Either way, should be fun. |
| #3geoffaMay 08, 2012 9:30:13 | A couple of different ideas for museum exhibits: 1. Different amazing creatures, either skeletons or stuffed animals. This would be similar to the dinosaur skeletons, or various animals you would find at a natural history museum. 2. Art. Scupltures, paintings, pretty much anything you would find in a real life art museum. There's probably even some of the same controversy, "I can't believe Lord Abstract of Waterdeep painted a single red square on this canvas and called it art!" 3. Arms and armor. Maybe some sort of military history museum. 4. A magic museum. I'm guessing this is the fantasy equivalent of a science museum. Learn all about the amazing advances in magic that make everyone's lives better! |
